这两句英文有什么区别？

1. 首先第一句话是错误的，第二句话是正确的。

要表达“他们缺少足够的食物”，可以说：
They are short of enough food. 但不能说They are lack of enough food.
因为lack只能做名词或者动词，而不能做形容词。

如果你一定要使用lack，第一句话也可以改为They are lacking in enough food.这时lack是不及物动词，而且后面要接介词in，用be lacking in sth.结构表示“缺少，缺乏某物”。

2. They are lacking in enough food. 与They lack enough food.这两句话的区别是其中的lack的词性。

第一句话中lack为不及物动词，后面要加in才能接宾语。
第二句话中lack为及物动词，直接可以接宾语。
