这是我第一次骑马：this is the first time that i have ridden a horse。

但是如果你写成：this is the first time that i ride (am ridding) a horse.你会让人觉得你说这句话的时候你还是骑在马背上。

那时我第一次骑马it was the first time that i had ridden a hose.（你已经骑过马了）。

如果你要说那将会是你第一次骑马，it will be the first time that i ride a horse (你还没有骑过马）。
